Very interesting book delineating the opposition to co education at Yale, and its president, Kingman Brewster’s determination to keep it from happening. . The women who were the first to be admitted to Yale had enormous determination and their recollections are fascinating. Great read about a cultural change that changed not only Yale, but prompted co-education at the other male only Ivy League colleges. I learned so much and it was effortless because Dr. Perkins is such an amazing writer. In two ways, this should be "fiction" -- first, because this part of history seems so absurd and unbelievable from our 2019 vantage point. Secondly, it reads like fiction.
